The Vision of the
MCEA is to
partner with
like-minded
churches
and/or
organizations
for the purpose
of starting a
Church
Planting
Movement
in the
upper Midwest.
"Church planting
is the single
most effective--C. Peter Wagner
David Garrison defines
a Church Planting Movement as a...
"rapid and multiplicative
increase of
churches
planting
churches
within a given
people group or
population segment."

Why New Churches Are Needed
- In America, there are close to 200 million people who do not
have a personal relationship with Christ!
- Nearly 74% of all Americans have no meaningful church relationship.
- Half of all the churches in America did not add one new member
through "conversion" growth.
- Evangelical churches have failed to gain an additional 2% of the
American population in the past 50 years. In other words, we are
not even reaching our own children!
- Expresses the mission of God to seek & save lost people.
- It is an effective method of spreading the gospel, especially to
areas where churches are scarce of possibly do not even exist.
- New church plants often remove barriers that prevent people from
being reached that have special cultural or language needs.
- Current statistics show that the majority of people are not worshipping
or serving Christ. New churches can often help them overcome
their disillusionment and reconnect them with our Lord.
